Scribe alternative for teams on Slack
Your SOPs are already in Slack threads
When someone explains a process in a thread, ask Kipwise Agent to write it up. It drafts the how-to from what was said, files it where you say, and answers the next person who asks.
Free to try in Slack. No card needed.
@Kipwise write up the partial refund steps I just explained, as a how-to in Finance
Published Partial refunds in Stripe in Finance: five steps, from finding the invoice to the note for the customer. Your name is on it.
Assign it to Gus as a must-read
Assigned Partial refunds in Stripe to Gus as a must-read. The page shows when he confirms it.

Why teams look past Scribe
“…scribe is automated but more rigid (eg scribe can only do linear SOPs)”
With KipwiseA page holds whatever the thread settled: the steps, the exceptions and who to ask.
“It also picks up so much user input that it can be time-consuming to make edits.”
With KipwiseNo recording to clean up. The agent writes the steps from what was said, and a fix takes one line.
“When it's running, it takes up a quarter of the screen on the side, making the normal page seems squished.”
With KipwiseNothing runs while you work. Explain it in Slack as usual, then ask for the write-up.
“There are even months where I don't use it at all, and it just feels like I'm paying for something that sits unused.”
With KipwiseGuides are one job of many. The same agent follows up, posts status updates and updates records.
What changes when you switch
The explanation already happened in Slack. The agent turns it into a page people can find.
Capture
Write it up from the thread
No recording session. Ask the agent to turn the explanation into steps, in the folder you name.
Find
Answers where people ask
When the question comes up again, the agent answers in the thread from the page, with the link.
Keep
Fix a step in one line
When a step changes, say so in the thread and it updates the page. Page reviews remind owners to check it, and must-reads show who has read it.
Scribe vs Kipwise
Scribe records you clicking through a task. Kipwise writes the how-to from the conversation where it was explained.
| Scribe | Kipwise | |
|---|---|---|
| How a guide starts | Record your screen while you click through | Ask the agent to write up the thread |
| Screenshots | Captured for each step | None captured; add images or links yourself |
| Where people find it | A shared link, the Scribe library or /scribe search in Slack | Answered in the Slack thread, with the link |
| When a step changes | Record again or edit the guide | Say what changed and it updates the page |
| Making sure it’s read | Share the guide | Must-reads people confirm, and review reminders for owners |
| Beyond guides | Guides and documents | Follow-ups, status updates and record changes, after you approve |

Questions
Does Kipwise capture screenshots like Scribe?
No. It writes the steps from what was said in Slack. If a process needs click-by-click screenshots, keep them in Scribe and link them from the page.
Can it write a guide nobody explained yet?
It writes from the thread you point it at and the pages and records it opens, and links what it used. Read the draft before you publish it.
What does it cost?
$10 per user a month, for at least 3 users. That includes $5 of AI credit per person and $2 per person of shared team credit every month. Add it to Slack and the free trial starts on your first message, no card needed.
Can it change things without asking?
No. Before it edits a page, updates a record or posts a message, it shows an Approve or Deny card in the thread. Only the person who asked can approve it, and the card expires after 30 minutes.
Does it work in Microsoft Teams?
Yes. The same agent runs in Microsoft Teams, with the same tools and approvals. If your team works in Teams, book a demo and we’ll set it up with you.
