Notion alternative for teams on Slack
A Notion alternative that lives in Slack
Ask in a thread and Kipwise Agent answers from your pages, with the link it opened. When the thread settles something, ask it to write it up. Keep Notion connected, or move your pages over.
Free to try in Slack. No card needed.
@Kipwise where's the client onboarding checklist? Notion search gives me four versions
The current one is Client onboarding v3, edited by Gus on Tuesday. The other three are in Archive. Kickoff is in week one, and access requests go to #it.
Write up a short version for new hires in our Onboarding folder
Published Client onboarding, short version in Onboarding, linked to the Notion page. Your name is on it.

Why teams look past Notion
“Finding the one “how-to” doc felt like a mini adventure every time. At some point, people just stopped looking. They’d ping a teammate instead.”
With KipwisePinging is the habit it works with. Mention the agent in the thread and it finds the page and answers with the link.
“Dead pages everywhere. A guide written in January was already outdated by March. No one wanted to maintain them.”
With KipwiseWhoever spots the change says so in the thread, and the agent updates the page with their name on the edit.
“…invariably dissolve into the equivalent of a hoarder's house, full of outdated, hard-to-find garbage deeply buried under other garbage.”
With KipwiseWhen a page on the topic already exists, the agent adds to it instead of starting another one, and says so.
“We pay for Business. AI is included. Okay. Then there are limits. Then Custom Agents cost credits.”
With KipwiseOne price: $10 per user a month, with AI credit included and a usage report by person.
Keep Notion, or leave it
Both work. Most teams start by asking from Slack and move pages later, if at all.
Keep Notion
Ask it from Slack
Connect Notion once and the agent searches and reads the pages you shared with it, using your own Notion access. Ask it to update a page or add a database row and it shows you the change first.
Move to Kipwise
Let the agent write your wiki
Ask it to write up a thread and it drafts the page in the folder you name, adds to an existing page instead of starting a duplicate, and puts your name on it.
Notion vs Kipwise
Notion is a flexible workspace. Kipwise is an AI teammate in your Slack threads, with a wiki it writes for you.
| Notion | Kipwise | |
|---|---|---|
| Where people ask | In Notion, or in Slack with a pasted link | In the Slack thread where the question came up |
| Who writes the page | Whoever finds the time | The agent drafts it from the thread when you ask, with your name on it |
| When a page is wrong | Someone has to notice, open it and edit | Say what changed in the thread and it updates the page |
| Answers from other tools | Notion AI search across connected apps, on Business and up | Kipwise pages, Notion, Confluence, your CRM, Linear or Jira, mail and calendar, each with your own access |
| The next step | Custom Agents, billed at $10 per 1,000 credits | Updates the deal, files the issue or drafts the email in the thread, after you approve |

What to ask it first
@Kipwise where's the client onboarding checklist?
It searches your Kipwise pages and the Notion pages you shared, and answers with the link.
@Kipwise write this thread up in Onboarding
It drafts the page from what was said, publishes it in that folder and posts the link.
@Kipwise that changed, it's 60 days now. Update the page
It edits the page in place and keeps the rest. Your name is on the edit.
@Kipwise every Monday at 9, post the pages updated last week
It runs the request on schedule and posts the list in this channel.

Questions
Can we keep Notion?
Yes. Connect Notion and the agent reads and edits the pages you shared with it, with your own Notion permissions. Pages you didn’t share stay out of reach. New pages it writes go to Kipwise, unless you ask it to write in Notion.
Is Kipwise a replacement for personal notes?
No. It’s for teams that work in Slack: questions, write-ups and the follow-ups that come with them. For personal notes, Obsidian or Notion itself fits better.
What happens to our Notion pages?
Most teams move only the Notion pages they still use; book a demo and we’ll talk it through. New pages get written from your Slack threads from the first day.
What does it cost?
$10 per user a month, for at least 3 users. That includes $5 of AI credit per person and $2 per person of shared team credit every month. Add it to Slack and the free trial starts on your first message, no card needed.
Can it change things without asking?
No. Before it edits a page, updates a record or posts a message, it shows an Approve or Deny card in the thread. Only the person who asked can approve it, and the card expires after 30 minutes.
Does it work in Microsoft Teams?
Yes. The same agent runs in Microsoft Teams, with the same tools and approvals. If your team works in Teams, book a demo and we’ll set it up with you.
