Questions
Is there a Microsoft Teams AI agent that works in chats and channels?
Yes. Kipwise Agent works in a personal chat, in group chats and in team channels. It answers from your Kipwise pages and the accounts you connect, and it asks for an Approve before it changes anything.
How do I add Kipwise Agent to Microsoft Teams?
A team owner adds Kipwise Agent to a team and selects Open Kipwise in its welcome message. After that, everyone can chat with it in a personal chat, and mention it in a channel or group chat.
Is this an AI assistant for Teams like Copilot?
It is a separate app that you add to Teams. Microsoft 365 Copilot is priced at $30 per user a month, billed yearly, on top of a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan (Microsoft pricing, read October 2026). Kipwise Agent is $10 per user a month, at least 3 users, and works with your own Microsoft and other accounts, with the access you already have.
Which Microsoft tools can it use?
Outlook mail and calendar, OneDrive files and SharePoint sites on a work or school Microsoft 365 account. Each person connects their own account from the chat, and some organisations need an administrator to approve the app first.
Does it ask before it acts in Teams?
Yes. Before it sends a message, edits a file or updates a record, it shows an Approve or Deny card in the chat. Only the person who asked can press it, the card expires after 30 minutes, and a denied or expired card runs nothing.
Are its replies marked as AI?
Yes. Replies are labelled AI generated in Teams. Select the thumbs-down button under any reply to tell us what was wrong.
Can it run tasks on a schedule in Teams?
Yes. Ask in a channel or chat, for example for a report every Friday at 9. You approve it once when you create it, and it posts in the conversation where you set it up.
Who can see what?
The agent works as the person asking. It opens only the files, mail and records that person can open, and Microsoft enforces your own access on every call.
What happens to our messages?
Message content is processed only to provide these features and is not used to train AI models. Workspace memory, when your team turns it on, keeps short facts for 90 days in Teams, and an admin can switch it off. See the Privacy Policy.
What does it cost?
$10 per user a month, for at least 3 users. That includes $5 of AI credit per person and $2 per person of shared team credit every month. The free trial starts on your first message, no card needed.
Does it also work in Slack?
Yes. It is the same agent in Slack and Microsoft Teams, with the same tools, approvals, memory and scheduled tasks.
