QuickBooks + Kipwise Agent

What it does

Kipwise Agent is a Slack app that adds a QuickBooks layer in your threads. Ask in plain words and it works in the company you connected:

  • Sales invoices and bills — create, edit, and void or delete when you confirm.
  • Who owes us and what we owe — open invoices, aged receivables and payables.
  • Customers and vendors — find, create and deactivate contacts.
  • Record payments against invoices, and read purchases and deposits.
  • The chart of accounts.
  • Reports: profit and loss, balance sheet, aged receivables, aged payables, and cash flow.
  • Plain-words automations, for example: “whenever a new customer is added in QuickBooks, tell me here”.

How to connect

Each teammate connects their own Intuit login. Nothing is shared between people.

  1. Mention @Kipwise in Slack with a QuickBooks request (in a channel or DM).
  2. Click the private Connect button the agent shows only to you.
  3. On Intuit’s consent screen, pick the company and approve access.
  4. Done — ask again and the agent uses that connection.

What we access

In plain words, Kipwise Agent asks QuickBooks for one scope, QuickBooks accounting:

  • Customers and vendors
  • Invoices and bills
  • Payments
  • Purchases and deposits
  • Accounts
  • Reports

No email sending. Nothing is stored beyond the connection token and your company id, which are encrypted.

Security

  • Per-person OAuth — every action runs as the teammate who connected.
  • Tokens encrypted at rest.
  • Invoices created as drafts unless you say approve.
  • Void, delete and deactivate only on explicit confirmation.
  • Webhook deliveries verified with Intuit’s signature.
