How it works
Kipwise Agent is a Slack app. HubSpot is connected per person, from inside Slack, so the agent only ever does what you could do yourself in HubSpot.
- Install Kipwise Agent in your Slack workspace from your Kipwise dashboard (Integrations → Slack agent). Existing Kipwise workspaces already have it.
- Ask the agent something about HubSpot in any channel or DM, for example @Kipwise Agent which deals are open with Acme?
- Click “Connect HubSpot” in the agent’s reply. HubSpot shows the standard consent screen; pick the HubSpot account and approve. The link is personal to you and expires in five minutes.
- Done. The agent finishes your request straight away. Teammates connect their own HubSpot login the same way; nobody shares a token.
What you can ask
- Find and read contacts, companies, deals and tickets: “who owns the Acme deal and what stage is it in?”
- Create and update records: “add Ada Lovelace at Analytical Engines as a contact and open a $1,200 pilot deal”
- Move deals through your pipeline by stage name, assign owners, set close dates.
- Log notes and create tasks on any record: “note on the Acme deal: kickoff done, send proposal by Monday”
- Delete a record you name explicitly. The agent confirms the exact record first, and HubSpot keeps it recoverable for 90 days.
Every person, company, deal or ticket in a reply is shown by name and linked to the real HubSpot record, never as a raw id. Owners and pipeline stages are shown by their names.
Permissions and data
- The agent asks HubSpot for: contacts, companies, deals and tickets (read and write) and owners (read). Nothing else.
- Access tokens are stored encrypted and used only while answering your request. HubSpot enforces your own user permissions on every call.
- Disconnect any time from HubSpot (Settings → Integrations → Connected apps → Kipwise Agent). The agent forgets the connection on its next call.
