How it works
Kipwise Agent is a Slack app. Notion is connected per person from inside Slack, so the agent only ever reaches the pages you choose to share with it.
- Install Kipwise Agent in Slack from kipwise.com/auth/agent/install.
- Mention the agent and ask for anything in Notion in any Slack channel or DM.
- Click “Connect Notion” in the agent’s reply, then pick the pages to share on Notion’s consent screen.
Arriving from the Notion Marketplace?
When you click Connect on the Kipwise Agent listing and approve the connection, Notion shows a one-time claim code. Finish setup by typing claim <code> to the agent in Slack. The code works once and expires after 15 minutes.
What you can ask
- Search Notion by title and read a page: “find the Q3 roadmap doc and summarise it”
- Create a new page or add content to an existing one, and update a page’s title, icon or properties.
- Query, create and update rows in a Notion database, and read or start a comment thread.
- Upload a small file into a page.
- Move a page you name explicitly to Notion’s trash, then restore it when needed.
Every write in Notion is recorded as made by the Kipwise Agent connection’s own bot user, not attributed to you by name — what’s yours is the grant: the agent can only touch the pages you shared, under your own access.
Permissions and data
- Kipwise Agent’s Notion connection can read content, update content, insert content, read and insert comments, and read user information including email addresses — but only on the pages and databases you tick on Notion’s consent screen when you connect.
- Access tokens are stored encrypted and used only while answering your request. Notion enforces the page-level access you granted on every call.
- Deletes move pages to Notion’s trash, where they can be restored. Disconnect any time in Notion Settings → Connections, or ask the agent to disconnect Notion for you.
