ClickUp + Kipwise Agent
Find, create and update ClickUp tasks from Slack or Teams, as you. Every change waits for your approval, under your own ClickUp account.
Ask in Slack, get it done in ClickUp
Kipwise Agent is an AI teammate that does the work in ClickUp, not only reads it. It works as each person, through their own connection, in Slack and Microsoft Teams. Every change shows an Approve card first.
- Find tasks by person, place, status, due date or words in the name.
- Read one task with its comments, subtasks, checklists and attachments. PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and text files are read as text.
- List your Spaces, Folders and Lists.
- Report time tracked by person, task, place or dates.
- Find and read ClickUp Docs.
- Create tasks and subtasks with assignees, due date, priority, status, tags and custom fields.
- Change a task: status, people, due date, priority, tags and fields, or move it to another List.
- Comment on a task, or reply in a comment’s thread.
- Add checklist items and tick them off.
- Attach a file from the Slack thread, or a picture it made.
- Log time on a task.
- Add a page to a Doc, or add to a page.
- Delete a task. It asks first, and ClickUp keeps it in its Trash for 30 days.
Ask in your own words
- “What’s due this week in ClickUp?”
- “Show me what Maria has open in the Website List.”
- “Create a ClickUp task for this thread and assign it to Maria.”
- “Move the onboarding task to Done.”
- “Log 90 minutes on the launch task.”
ClickUp automation from Slack
Ask once, in a sentence: “tell me here when a task in Launch is completed.” You approve it, and later runs post in the same conversation. It can start when:
- a task is created
- a task’s status changes
- a task is completed
- a task is assigned
- a task’s due date or priority changes
- someone comments on a task
- a task moves to another List
Each automation watches a List, a Folder, a Space or the whole Workspace. Say “only when it moves to Done” or “only urgent ones” to narrow it.
Set up in 2 steps
- Mention @Kipwise in Slack and ask about ClickUp.
- Press Connect and pick the ClickUp Workspaces to share on ClickUp’s screen. It works on every ClickUp plan, including Free Forever.
FAQs
Access, approvals and pricing for the ClickUp connection.
Does it act as me in ClickUp?
Yes. Each person connects their own ClickUp account from Slack or Teams by pressing Connect, and Kipwise Agent works as that person, with their ClickUp permissions. It only sees what you can see.
What can it change, and how does approval work?
It can create tasks and subtasks, change a task’s status, people, due date, priority, tags and custom fields, move a task to another List, comment and reply, add and tick checklist items, attach a file from the thread, log time, add a page to a Doc or add to a page, and delete a task. Every change shows an Approve card first, and nothing happens until you press Approve. To delete a task you also give its exact name.
Can it notify Slack when something changes in ClickUp?
Yes. Ask for an automation, such as “tell me here when a task in Launch is completed.” It can start when a task is created, changes status, is completed, is assigned, gets a new due date or priority, moves to another List, or is commented on. It can watch a List, a Folder, a Space or the whole Workspace.
Which ClickUp Workspaces does it see?
Only the ones you pick on ClickUp’s screen when you connect. Press Connect again to add another.
Does it work on a free ClickUp plan?
Yes. It works on every ClickUp plan, including Free Forever.
How do I disconnect ClickUp?
Ask the agent in Slack: “disconnect my ClickUp.” It removes your connection and any automations it made for you, and tells you where ClickUp lists the app, under Settings, then ClickUp API, then API tokens, then Custom Apps, if you also want to remove it there.
What does it cost?
Kipwise Agent is a separate paid add-on: $10 per user per month or $108 per user per year (USD, excluding tax), with a three-user minimum. It works with any Kipwise plan. See Kipwise pricing.
