Airtable + Kipwise Agent

How it works

Kipwise Agent is a Slack app. Airtable is connected per person from inside Slack, so the agent only ever does what you could do yourself in Airtable, on the bases you choose to share.

  1. Install Kipwise Agent in Slack from kipwise.com/auth/agent/install.
  2. Mention the agent and ask for anything in Airtable in any Slack channel or DM.
  3. Click “Connect Airtable” in the agent’s reply, then pick the bases to share on Airtable’s consent screen.

What you can ask

  • List your bases and open a base’s tables, fields and views: “what fields does the Leads table have?”
  • Find and read records: “show me the open deals over $10k in the Sales base”
  • Create, update or upsert records with values you dictate, and add or reply to record comments.
  • Add a table or a field to a base, or rename one.
  • Delete a record you name explicitly — the agent asks for the record’s primary value as confirmation.

Every action is performed as you, under your own Airtable permissions, and every reply links back to the base, table or record in Airtable.

Permissions and data

  • Kipwise Agent requests Airtable’s data.records:read, data.records:write, data.recordComments:read, data.recordComments:write, schema.bases:read, schema.bases:write and workspacesAndBases:read scopes — and only on the bases you tick on Airtable’s consent screen when you connect.
  • Access tokens are stored encrypted and used only while answering your request. Airtable enforces your own base permissions on every call.
  • Disconnect any time in Airtable Account → Integrations, or ask the agent to disconnect Airtable for you.
